Matthew R.

Matthew R. is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in backend and embedded systems development. Currently serving as a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Spotify since October 2021, Matthew R. is focused on supporting retrieval systems for Spotify Search and has previously worked on text and voice search orchestration platforms. Prior to Spotify, Matthew R. held a Senior Software Engineer position at 3M, where responsibilities included developing workflows for medical claims analysis and migrating legacy code to Java. Matthew R. also contributed to embedded software for the Navy's next generation nuclear submarine during tenure at Electric Boat. Education includes a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, along with Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and a Nanodegree in iOS Development with Swift.
