Sandeep Ghael

Sandeep Ghael has extensive experience in machine learning and engineering, currently serving as the Director of Machine Learning for Generative AI & LLMs at Spotify since September 2020, following a role as Sr. Manager of Machine Learning in Content Understanding. Previously, Ghael was an ML Engineering Manager for the Verily NLP Platform at Google and a Machine Learning Manager for Alexa Science at Amazon, where significant contributions included enhancing Alexa's speech recognition and deploying ML models to over 100 million devices. Ghael also held the position of Engineering Director at Localytics, leading the development of mobile technologies and scaling services to vast user bases. Earlier career roles involved co-founding Active Interview & Ravid, directing product development at MWM, and holding engineering positions at Symantec and Cisco Systems. Ghael holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Rice University.
