Veronica Morfi

Veronica Morfi is a Senior Applied Research Scientist at Spotify since July 2022, with prior experience as a Deep Learning and Speech Researcher at Sonantic from September 2021 to July 2022. Previously, Veronica served as a Postdoctoral Research Assistant and PhD Candidate at Queen Mary University of London, where research focused on Machine Learning for Bird Song Learning at the Centre for Digital Music. Leadership roles included Chair and Vice Chair of the QMUL IEEE student branch, overseeing teams and organizing events. Additional experience includes an internship as an Audio Researcher at Samsung Electronics and a visiting research role at the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology. Veronica holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering from Queen Mary University of London, a Master's degree in Signal Processing from the University of Crete, and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the same institution.
