Mike Allison has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Mike is currently serving as the Vice President of Talent and Culture at Spotlight | Analyst Relations. Prior to that, they worked at the University of Missouri-Kansas City as a Leadership Coach and Instructor in the Bloch Executive Education program, where they delivered leadership development content and provided coaching to leaders. Mike also had experience in the private sector as the Vice President of Learning & Development at AMC Theatres, where they led a team focused on building and retaining talent across multiple guest-facing brands. In addition, they worked as the Faculty Lead in the VA Innovative Technology Advancement Lab (VITAL) at Cerner Corporation, providing advanced education to cohorts of United States Department of Veterans Affairs clinicians and professionals.
Before their roles at Cerner Corporation and AMC Theatres, Mike started their career as a Management Analyst at the City of Kansas City, MO, where they carried out budgeting activities for multiple city departments. Throughout their career, Mike has demonstrated expertise in leadership development, coaching, learning and development, and talent management.
Mike Allison obtained a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Brigham Young University Marriott School of Business from 1993 to 1995. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's Degree in International Relations at Brigham Young University from 1989 to 1993. Apart from their formal education, Mike also holds a Cerner Certificate in Health Care Leadership from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, although the specific month and year of its completion are not provided.
