Gordon Hempton

Gordon Hempton has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Gordon is currently a Co-Founder of Spot, a role they took on in May 2020. Prior to that, they were a Co-Founder and CTO of Outreach from December 2013 to October 2019. Gordon also co-founded and served as CTO of GroupTalent from June 2011 to October 2013. In addition, they were the Co-Founder and CEO of Team Apart from June 2008 to May 2010. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft from July 2007 to May 2008. Gordon also worked as a Developer/Researcher at the University of Washington from October 2006 to March 2007. Prior to that, they were a Developer/Researcher at WebInSight, University of Washington, where they helped develop a novel image labeling system. Gordon'swork on this system resulted in a co-authored publication titled "WEBINSIGHT: MAKING WEB IMAGES ACCESSIBLE." Before their time at the University of Washington, they worked as a Lead Web Developer at BlueTux Internet Services from May 2005 to October 2005.

Gordon Hempton earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Washington, where they attended from 2003 to 2007.
