David Shipley

Mr. Shipley led JLL’s national Energy & Infrastructure Capital Markets (“E&I”) team prior to joining sPower as Chief Financial Officer (promoted from SVP of Structured Finance). E&I provided due diligence, economic feasibility and project viability analyses in the solar, biomass, biofuels, waste-to-energy and wind energy sectors. Prior to JLL, David was EVP/CFO for Enfinity America Corporation (“EAC”), the Americas subsidiary of Enfinity NV, a solar power developer and owner/operator. As founding member of EAC, and through his strategic vision and financial leadership, David helped establish EAC as a premier Solar IPP in the US, leading to the eventual sale of EAC to SunEdison, Inc. Prior to Enfinity, David had a 20 year career in corporate and investment banking, most recently with ABN AMRO Bank and its subsidiary LaSalle Bank Corporation, where he held positions of Head of Corporate Development and Capital for LaSalle Bank, and Global Head of Leasing and Asset Finance for ABN AMRO Bank. David has structured, arranged and invested in excess of $10B of transactions, including solar, wind and affordable housing tax equity, cross border structured debt and equity, equipment and real estate leasing and securitization of a variety of asset classes.

David holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from Northern Illinois University, a Masters of Business Administration – Finance and Tax from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, DePaul University and is a CPA in the State of Illinois.
