Jennifer R.

Jennifer R. is the current Chief Information Security Officer at Spreedly. Jennifer has over 18 years of experience in the field of information technology, specifically in the areas of governance, risk, and compliance.

Jennifer began their career as a Computer Services Student Employee at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from January 2003 to May 2004. Jennifer then became a Supervisor - NERC-CIP Program at Progress Energy from June 2004 to August 2012. In this role, they led a team of 40 employees and was responsible for the management of the enterprise NERC CIP Program. Jennifer also worked closely with regulators, industry peer groups, and internal departments to drive a proactive program in which compliance was a focus and violations minimized.

In August 2012, Jennifer took on the role of Senior Vice President, Senior Manager IT Risk Governance at First Citizens Bank. In this role, they were responsible for leading and driving the strategic direction of the Information Technology Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) services. This included ensuring a proper risk based cyber security program and controls were in place; appropriate goals and metrics were available and tracked; and effective training and awareness activities were implemented for associates, contractors, vendors and customers. Jennifer remained in this role until August 2021 when they became the Chief Information Security Officer at Spreedly.

Jennifer is a highly experienced and respected leader in the field of information technology. Jennifer is currently using their expertise to help Spreedly protect their data and systems from cyber threats.
