Craig Stirk

Craig Stirk has a diverse work experience spanning over several years in various roles. Currently, they serve as the Chief Data Officer at Sprift - Know any property instantly, a position they assumed in November 2021.

Prior to this, Craig owned and operated Sarcul Consulting Ltd since August 2017, providing CxO level information exploitation advisory services and mentoring start-ups and small businesses to optimize their data usage.

Craig also worked as a Senior Management Consultant at Collinson Grant from December 2020 to August 2021, where they assisted clients with restructuring, cost-cutting, supply chain management, and digital technology integration.

At Opus Energy, where they held the position of Head of Business Information and Reporting from January 2018 to December 2019, Craig led the transformation of management information (MI) and implemented Amazon cloud BI and AI solutions across the organization.

From September 2014 to July 2017, Craig was the Head of MI Business Partnering at British Gas, overseeing a significant enhancement of business intelligence capabilities and driving innovation in decision-making processes through information governance and system implementation.

Craig's tenure at AWE from 2004 to 2014 encompassed various roles, including Transformation Lead, Head of Business Intelligence, Business System Implementation Lead, and Financial Modelling Lead. Craig played a pivotal role in integrating business intelligence, performance analysis, and enterprise architecture into the company's transformation, leading to a validated and extended architectural model.

Before joining AWE, Craig worked at BNFL as the Group Financial Systems and Modelling Manager from July 2000 to July 2004, where they managed and developed SAP, Hyperion Enterprise, and Essbase systems and led the reimplementation of SAP.

Earlier in their career, Craig served as a Senior Executive in EY's Business Modelling Group, specializing in developing and reviewing financial models for PFI deals, strategic planning, and investment decision analysis.

Craig'swork experience commenced at Moore Stephens Isle of Man, where they worked as an Audit Supervisor, leading audits, financial statement preparation, and providing training to colleagues.

Craig Stirk completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accountancy and Computer Science at The University of Manchester from 1990 to 1993. Craig then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Knowledge Management for Innovation at Cranfield University from 2012 to 2016. In terms of additional certifications, Craig obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor certification from ISACA in June 1997. Craig also received the certification of Certified Governance Enterprise Information Technology from ISACA in December 2010. Furthermore, they obtained the FCA certification from ICAEW in October 1996. In September 2017, Craig acquired the GDPR Foundation certification from IBITGQ and became a Mental Health First Aid Champion in September 2019 through MHFA England.
