David Bender

David Bender is an experienced finance professional with a diverse background in both public accounting and educational finance. Currently serving as the Controller for Spring Branch ISD since September 2011, David leads a finance team focused on achieving the district's goal of increasing the number of students obtaining technical certificates and degrees. Prior to this role, David worked as a Senior Audit Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers from January 1997 to December 2000, where responsibilities included attest services for various sectors. From December 2000 to August 2011, David held the position of CFO Partner at Maxwell Locke & Ritter LLP, overseeing multiple operational areas including finance, human resources, and risk management. David holds both MPA and BBA degrees from The University of Texas at Austin's Red McCombs School of Business.
