Tod Highfield is the Senior Vice President of Wholesale Lending at Spring EQ. Tod has over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry and has held leadership positions at some of the largest financial institutions in the United States.
Highfield began their career at First Union National Bank where they were a member of the Senior Management Team responsible for the branch network in large metropolitan areas. Tod managed 30 branches that produced approximately $30 million per month in loan volume.
Tod then went on to HSBC Mortgage Services where they were responsible for wholesale mortgage production and loan acquisitions of $35 billion per year. Tod oversaw a unit of 1500 employees and was responsible for its performance.
In 2007, Highfield joined Quicken Loans as the Senior Vice President of Quicken Loans Mortgage Services. There they built the wholesale lending platform for Quicken Loans to focus on community banks, credit unions, and independent mortgage brokers. The division produced $1 billion per month in loan closings and is currently a top 3 third party originator in the United States.
Highfield left Quicken Loans in 2012 to join ServiceMac, LLC as the Director. Tod served in this role for 5 years before joining Spring EQ in 2017 as the Director. In 2019, they were promoted to Senior Vice President of Wholesale Lending.
Tod Highfield attended Southern Methodist University from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing/Marketing Management, General. While at SMU, they were a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
