Associate Director, Regional Philanthropy at Springboard Collaborative

Amanda Bonds serves as the Associate Director of Regional Philanthropy for the West at Springboard Collaborative, connecting stakeholders with opportunities to invest in transformative collaboration between families and schools. Before joining Springboard, Amanda served as Interim Executive Director and Program Director at Words Alive, leading a portfolio of programs that connect children, youth, and families to the power of reading across San Diego and Orange County, California. A seasoned changemaker, Amanda has managed agency evaluation efforts; steered action on various collective-impact efforts; and has served on multiple educational equity focused community partnerships including the San Diego Council on Literacy and the Diamond Educational Excellence Partnership, where she currently serves on the board of directors. As an Americorps volunteer before moving west, Amanda advocate for unhoused immigrant families in her home state. Believing in the power of learning, her informal teaching history includes college-level writing at the UCSD, elementary age classrooms in Jamaica, Spanish language courses, and summer programs at the San Antonio Zoo. Her favorite childhood book is Do You Know How Lucky You Are? by Dr. Seuss.
