Miranda Larsen (She/Her)

Senior Associate, Professional Development at Springboard Collaborative

Miranda has spent over nine years working with the education community in Philadelphia. She enjoys instilling a love for literacy in students at a young age and helping other teachers experience this joy as well. Prior to joining Springboard Collaborative, Miranda taught kindergarten at Mastery Charter Schools and played an active role in supporting her colleagues in understanding lesson materials. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys helping parents support their children in their native language. As a Professional Development Associate, Miranda manages, facilitates, and improves upon Springboard’s professional development sessions so that teachers are better able to help students reach their reading goals

Miranda holds an M.S.Ed in Urban Education from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education and a B.A. in International Studies from American University. Her favorite children’s book is Lilly’s Purple Plastic Purse by Kevin Henkes because it taught Miranda at a young age to embrace her individuality and apologize when she makes a mistake—practices she continues to hold on to as an adult, too.
