Stephen Byarugaba

Stephen Byarugaba is an experienced software engineer and mentor with a solid background in technology and education. Currently serving as a Mentor at Springboard since November 2022, Stephen previously held positions at SovTech as a Javascript Engineer and Pod Lead from September 2021 to August 2024. In addition, Stephen was the Lead Instructor and Web Development Instructor at Code First Girls from October 2022 to June 2023, and worked as a Software Engineer at Andela from August 2018 to August 2022, contributing to the development of top tech talent in Africa. Stephen also gained experience as a Software Engineer at Zenysis Technologies between September 2019 and June 2021. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from Makerere University, completed between 2014 and 2019.
