Mic Neale is an experienced engineering leader and innovator, currently serving as the Head of Engineering at TBD since November 2022, where efforts focus on open source initiatives within the Block Inc family. As an angel investor and advisor at Sprkl, Mic supports a personal observability platform for developers. Mic has co-founded and held multiple senior roles at CloudBees since 2010, contributing to the development of a platform as a service for developers. Previous entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding Rad Alert, a machine learning-based monitoring startup. Mic's extensive career includes leadership positions at Red Hat, The Codehaus, and JBoss, where contributions to the Drools open source project were notable. Prior experience also encompasses technical architecture roles at Suncorp and engineering positions at E-Plus and Qantas. Mic holds a Bachelor with Honors in Electrical Engineering from UNSW.
