John Colburn

John Colburn is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in IT, security, and compliance roles. Currently serving as Vice President of IT, Security, and Compliance at Sprout Social, Inc. since November 2017, John manages a corporate IT department of approximately 40 personnel, focusing on enhancing employee technical experience through the oversight of various functional areas, including IT, security, GRC, and automation. Prior to this, John held multiple positions at Morningstar from October 2013 to November 2017, culminating in the role of Director of Technology - Corporate Systems, where significant projects included the implementation of Office 365 and Azure AD. John's earlier career included various leadership roles at Time Out America and Vertis Communications, as well as technical training at CGS Inc. / Fuji Film USA Inc. John holds a Bachelor's degree from Purdue University, earned between 1999 and 2003.
