Matt Cranford

Matt Cranford is the VP of Operations at Sprout. Matt has over ten years of experience in operational excellence, process improvement, and project management.

Matt started their career as a Process Improvement Engineer at PepsiCo - Frito Lay. Matt was quickly promoted to Project Services Specialist at Amec Foster Wheeler. In this role, they coordinated robotic process automation (RPA) partnerships and led strategic health information exchange (HIE) and electronic medical records (EMR) integration projects.

In 2015, Matt was recruited by Change Healthcare as their Director of Operational Excellence. In this role, they established a new ‘Chart Splitting’ program and leveraged AI technology to automate the chart splitting process. Matt also grew the operational excellence group to provide critical support to the business.

In 2020, Matt was recruited by Sprout as their VP of Operations. In this role, they are responsible for the overall operations of the company.

After graduating from Mercer University with a BSE Industrial & Systems Engineering and a minor in Business Management, Matt Cranford attended Emory University - Goizueta Business School to earn their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Operations & Finance. Afterwards, they completed a certification from Wharton Executive Education in Executive Development and a certification from the US Army in Fort Benning Leadership Reaction. Matt is also certified by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and is in progress of becoming certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt by the International Association for Six Sigma Certification.

Matt Cranford reports to Shelly Li, CEO. Lisa Lett - Client Success Team Senior Manager, Rohullah Niazi - Director of Operations, and Bredan Farwick - Logistics & Service Delivery Manager report to Matt Cranford. Matt Cranford works with Jeremy Huffman - Director of Technology, Tom Allison - President & Head of Corporate Development, and Jeanette Jimenez-Paz - HR Manager.
