Wayne Chang has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Wayne began their career in 2009 as a Software Engineer for Social Expression Inc. In 2011, they worked as an IT Manager for Friendwell Group of Companies. In 2012, they were a Software Engineering Intern for Bloomberg LP. In 2013, they were a Software Engineering Intern for Conductor Inc. In 2014, they were the CTO and Security Officer for Concierge/Stat, which was later acquired by SmartER. In 2016, they were the Proprietor of WYC Technology, where they delivered greenfield products for startups and enterprises. In 2017, they joined ConsenSys as the Director of Product Management for Identity, the Head of Product for Web 2.5, and the Head of Token Engineering. In 2018, they founded a business unit within ConsenSys, Alpine, focused on products for enterprises and governments. In 2020, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of Spruce Systems, Inc. and also took a Sabbatical at Recurse Center.
Wayne Chang attended Rutgers University from 2010 to 2014, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 2021, they attended Y Combinator for the W21 program.
