James A Smith has a diverse education history spanning various fields and institutions. In 1993, they attended St Ivo, St Ives, where they completed their A Levels in Business Studies and Geography. Following this, from 1993 to 1994, they pursued a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business and Finance at the University of Portsmouth.

In 2001-2002 and again in 2009-2010, James attended the Cambridge Marketing College to obtain two professional certifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. The first was a Professional Certificate, and the second was a Professional Diploma in Marketing. These certifications served to strengthen their knowledge and expertise in the field.

Furthermore, James also pursued their interest in Photography. In 2003-2004 and again in 2004-2005, they studied at Huntingdon Regional College for City and Guilds qualifications in Photography at Level 1 and Level 2 respectively.

In addition to their formal education, James has obtained several certifications. In 2014 and 2016, they completed multiple certifications from HubSpot, including Inbound Certification, HubSpot Certification, and Email Marketing Certification. James A also acquired the FA Level 1 Coaching Badge from the Football Association in 2006. Most recently, in May 2020, they obtained the ITSMA ABM Certified designation from ITSMA.
