Paul Lomax

Paul Lomax has extensive work experience in the field of science and sales. Paul started their career in 1991 at Anachem Ltd as an Area Sales Representative, where they sold bioscience consumables and capital equipment. During their time there, they also took on additional responsibilities such as product management and handling key accounts. From 1997 to 1999, they served as a Sales Manager at Anachem Ltd, managing a team and exceeding sales targets.

Moving on, Lomax joined Packard Bioscience in 1999 as a Liquid Handling Sales Specialist, responsible for sales in the northern UK. Paul later became the Liquid Handling Sales Manager for the UK, where they achieved a significant growth in sales revenue and established strong relationships with major accounts.

In 2002, Lomax joined PerkinElmer as the European Sales Development Manager, providing technical sales and application support to the field sales organization. Paul successfully led a team of specialists and played a key role in the merger of PerkinElmer and Packard Bioscience, resulting in a 17% sales growth in the first year. Lomax also established a highly successful European technical center in Cambridge.

Lomax continued their career at PerkinElmer as the Liquid Handling Product Line Leader Europe from 2003 to 2004. In this role, they had overall responsibility for European sales and played a crucial role in driving sales in new application areas through partnerships and strategic initiatives.

In 2012, Lomax joined Campion School as the Head of Science, leading the largest faculty in the school and providing courses in biology, chemistry, and physics. Paul also taught students of various age groups and levels.

In 2014, Lomax joined PerkinElmer again as the European Business Development Manager - Genomics. Paul successfully drove sales in genomics and NGS portfolio by developing strong relationships with key opinion leaders and strategic partners. Paul also contributed to marketing planning and execution, supported the sales team, and conducted market research.

Most recently, Lomax has been working at SPT Labtech since 2015, where they hold the position of Product Manager. In this role, they have been responsible for product management and has made significant contributions to the company's success.

Paul Lomax completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry at the University of Leicester from 1987 to 1990. Later, in 2004 and 2005, they pursued further education at Corby Community College, obtaining a QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the field of Science.
