Tiago Monteiro is an Applications Development Scientist at SPT Labtech since February 2024, previously serving as an Applications Associate Scientist. Prior to this, Tiago worked at Evonetix Ltd as a Senior Scientist and Scientist between May 2022 and February 2024. At the Wellcome Sanger Institute from October 2020 to April 2022, Tiago contributed as an Advanced Research Assistant and Research Assistant in the DNA Pipeline, focusing on SARS-CoV-2 variant monitoring through high-throughput sequencing. Tiago completed a PhD in Sustainable Chemistry at Universidade Nova de Lisboa from May 2015 to April 2020, researching electrochemical (bio)sensors, and holds an MSc in Biotechnology and a BSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the same institution. Throughout various roles, Tiago has accumulated extensive research experience in fields related to environmental monitoring and biomolecular studies.
