J.A. has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. In 1998, J.A. joined Air Force Material Command as a Program Manager, where they primarily focused on determining aircraft vulnerability and evaluating fire extinguishing equipment. In 2004, they interned at United Space Alliance to gain a better understanding of commercial company operations. From 2005 to 2006, J.A. served as a Program Manager at Space and Missile Center, leading an operations and sustainment team for a communication satellite system. They then joined AF Space and Missile Center as a Program Manager, responsible for acquiring and maintaining the Wideband Global SATCOM Block II Program and establishing international partnerships. From 2010 to 2013, J.A. commanded and taught aerospace studies at Air Force ROTC/Detachment 915, overseeing training and education of 100 cadets. In 2013, J.A. became a Concepts and Experimentation Project Manager at Defense Threat Reduction Agency, leading efforts to define warfighting capabilities and identify capability gaps and solutions. Lastly, since 2016, J.A. has been working as a Senior Business Analyst at Spectrum Comm Inc.
J.A. completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geography with a minor in Geology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 1990 to 1994. Later, from 2002 to 2005, J.A. pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.
In terms of additional certifications, J.A. obtained a certification in Scaled Agile from Scaled Agile, Inc. in February 2018. J.A. also received a certification in Program Management Level 3 from Defense Acquisition University. Moreover, J.A. holds certifications in Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute and Test and Evaluation, Level 1 from Defense Acquisition University.
