Simon Jones

Simon joined SpyBiotech in 2021 and is responsible for all the corporate and non-scientific operational functions including finance, legal and human resources.

Simon has over 20 years of experience in senior finance roles within a number of early- to mid-stage businesses in healthcare and Medtech, covering a diverse range of areas including oncology drug discovery and development, drug delivery systems, diagnostics and marketing of licensed respiratory and allergy products. These companies have included spin-outs from Edinburgh University and the University of Oxford as well as a Nordic-based specialty pharma company.

Simon holds a degree in Physics from the University of Warwick. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 with Ernst & Young, and subsequently held positions in a number of large telecoms firms, including Vodafone. Simon is currently a member of the BIA’s Finance and Tax Advisory Committee.
