Katie Willan is an experienced Airworthiness and Certification Engineer currently serving as a Principal Airworthiness and Certification Consultant at SQEP Ltd since 2025. Previously, Katie worked at NATO from 2019 to 2023 as a Structure, Loads, SHM and Flutter Specialist on the Typhoon program, and served as the A400M In-Service Safety Manager at Defence Equipment & Support from 2017 to 2019. They gained early engineering experience at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division in 2010 as a UK Exchange Engineer and as a Graduate Engineer with Defence Equipment and Support. Katie earned a PGDip in Military Aerospace and Airworthiness from Cranfield University in 2017.
