Herman Poelmann

Herman Poelmann is a seasoned professional in the fashion and trade industries, currently serving as the Founder of Pole Group, aiming to foster a sustainable and transparent fashion industry since 2003. As Co-Founder of Cortazu, an online outdoor brand, and Sqetch, an apparel sourcing platform, both initiated in 2017 and 2015 respectively, Poelmann is deeply engaged in innovative solutions for the apparel sector. Previous leadership includes roles as Chairman of the Board at amfori from June 2018 to June 2022, Vice President from June 2016 to June 2018, and Chairman of the BSCI National Contact Group from 2013 to 2014, along with significant contributions to the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) and the FTA Foreign Trade Association during 2011 to 2014. Poelmann's extensive experience began with a long tenure at C&A from 1969 to 2003, where various positions were held.
