Chris Klok has extensive work experience in the design and engineering of innovative vehicles. Chris currently serves as the Chief of Design at Squad Mobility, where they contribute to the development of emission-free solar city cars. Additionally, Chris is the Owner of Mobility Design Lab, where they focus on furthering their expertise in the field.
Prior to these roles, Chris worked at Lightyear as the Chief Vehicle Engineer and Vehicle Architect, spearheading the design and engineering of environmentally friendly vehicles. Chris also served as the Lead Designer at PAL-V International BV, where they contributed to the development of a bi-modal flying and driving vehicle.
Earlier in their career, Chris worked at De Jong DUKE as a Senior Design Engineer, where they played a pivotal role in designing a compact bean-to-cup espresso machine. Chris also worked at Derbi as a Design Engineer, responsible for the development of motorcycles, and at Renault as a Designer and Research Engineer.
Chris Klok has a strong educational background in Industrial Design Engineering. Chris obtained their Master of Science (MSc) degree from Delft University of Technology, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Following this, they pursued post-doctoral studies at the same university and received a degree in Industrial Design Engineering, completing the two-year program from 1998 to 2000.
