Frédéric Bénard

Frédéric Bénard is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software development, engineering management, and applied data science. Currently serving as a Mentor at Squadra since June 2024, Frédéric previously held the position of Software Development Fellow in the AI Team at UKG, where significant contributions included integrating Generative AI features into the product suite. With a strong entrepreneurial background as Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Notik from August 2019 to April 2022, Frédéric led data science projects focused on logistics and price optimization. Previous roles include VP of Engineering at OMsignal, where Frédéric's team developed award-winning biometric algorithms, Director of Software Development at BlackBerry managing extensive teams, and hardware and software leadership roles at Tungle Corporation, Mobivox, and Motorola. Frédéric holds an MBA from McGill University and holds multiple degrees in Physics from the University of Toronto and McGill University.
