Ali Almasi

Ali Almasi is currently the Data Engineering Lead at Square Peg, where they direct innovative strategies in data engineering. Previously, Ali served as a Data Tech Lead at Optalert, focusing on drowsiness detection solutions and the development of digital biomarkers, contributing significantly to a patent-pending project and launching the Owl Eye sleep test app. Ali holds a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Melbourne and has a strong background in biomedical engineering and electrical communications, having worked in various research roles, including as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the National Vision Research Institute of Australia. Their educational achievements include a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tehran.
