James Tynan

James Tynan is a Partner at Square Peg. James has also served as the CEO of Startmate from January 2018 to December 2019. Prior to that, they were the VP Strategy and Operations for Khan Academy from January 2013 to July 2017. Before that, they were the General Manager for Purpose from March 2012 to December 2012. From February 2009 to March 2012, they were a Consultant for McKinsey & Company. In addition, they have served as a Pro-bono advisor for Children's Hospital Westmead from January 2006 to December 2012.

James Tynan has completed a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts (Media Arts & Production) from the University of Technology Sydney. James is currently practising intellectual property law.
