Chiara Lepore

Chiara Lepore is currently a Weather Quantitative Researcher at Squarepoint Capital since September 2024. Previously, Chiara served as Project Lead for the Climate Science Team at Gro Intelligence, where strong problem-solving and technical skills were utilized to overcome project execution challenges and to develop advanced climate risk models and data analytics. Chiara's notable work included creating pipelines for ingesting real-time and re-forecast data, achieving significant cost reductions. At Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Chiara held the position of Associate Research Scientist, leading a cloud-based computing project and developing forecasting models for severe weather activity. Chiara's earlier academic contributions include a postdoctoral associate role at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, research fellowship at Instituto do Mar, and a comprehensive educational background in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Salerno and MIT.
