Mathis Clautrier

Mathis Clautrier is a quantitative researcher currently employed at Squarepoint Capital since January 2023, with prior experience as a desk quant analyst. Mathis has held various research internships, including at Inria, focusing on visual representation for robotics under the WILLOW team, and at the Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace, where work involved reinforcement learning and multi-task problem-solving using CGP agents. An R&D internship at Air France involved developing a simulator and reinforcement learning models for dynamic pricing challenges. Mathis has also participated in an innovation project with the Armée de l’air et de l’espace, analyzing data from MQ9-Reaper drones. Academic qualifications include a Master MVA in applied mathematics from ENS Paris-Saclay and a Master’s degree in computer science and engineering from ISAE-SUPAERO, complemented by studies in operations research at Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III and foundational education in preparatory classes for engineering schools.
