Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith is a quantitative researcher at Squarepoint Capital, where they focus on commodities. As a student-athlete at Harvard College, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Mathematics while competing on the Varsity Wrestling Team. Previously, Matthew has held various internships, including roles at Physis Investment and SHEPHERD Therapeutics, where they developed data-driven insights and machine learning techniques. Additionally, they contributed to Harvard's Data Analytics Group by consulting on a COVID-19 modeling project for the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice in Washington, D.C.
