Mingxing du

Mingxing DU is a quantitative researcher at Squarepoint Capital since September 2018, bringing expertise in data analysis and modeling. Prior experience includes a role as a research software engineer at ViSenze, where Mingxing developed e-commerce product classifiers utilizing image and OCR text, and worked on fashion product color classification. Additional research experience includes internships at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on deep learning architectures for speech learning, and École normale supérieure, where Mingxing contributed to a project on fixed length speech embeddings. Previous work at Parrot involved compressing deep convolutional neural networks using Torch, achieving a sparser VGG network with minimal accuracy loss.
