Tom Kung

Tom Kung is an experienced financial professional with expertise in trading and compliance within the commodities sector. Currently serving as a Metals Trader at Squarepoint since September 2025, Tom previously held various roles including Assistant Controller at Pattison Sign Group and Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Between 2005 and 2011, Tom worked at BHP Billiton, where responsibilities included managing uranium concentrate sales, establishing a regulatory compliance program, and overseeing marketing strategy for natural gas and LNG with significant annual revenues. Prior experience also includes a role as a Financial Analyst at WMC Resources and trading base metals at MRI TRADING AG since November 2017. Tom holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from The University of British Columbia and is a Chartered Accountant recognized by CPA Canada.
