Tong Liu

Tong Liu is a quantitative researcher currently employed at Squarepoint since February 2024. Prior to this role, Tong Liu was a Ph.D. candidate at Yale University from August 2017 to February 2024, specializing in nuclear physics. Experience includes a quantitative research internship at WizardQuant in June 2022, where models were applied to the futures market and optimization algorithms were developed. Additionally, Tong Liu has held positions as a research assistant at Brookhaven National Laboratory, a visiting student at CERN and Berkeley Lab, and a teaching assistant at the University of Science and Technology of China. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, earned in 2017, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Nuclear Physics from Yale University, completed in 2023.
