Braden Purcell

Braden Purcell is a Data Science Manager at Squarespace since February 2018, having initially served as a Data Scientist within the company. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at New York University from March 2013 to January 2018, where Braden focused on developing Bayesian models and training linear classifiers for neural time-series data. Previous to this, Braden was a Graduate Student at Vanderbilt University from August 2007 to March 2013, integrating real neural data into neural network models and teaching undergraduate statistics. Braden's career began as a Research Assistant at Miami University, where data collection and analysis were conducted to understand human grouping behaviors. Braden holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University and a BA with Honors in Applied Statistics, accompanied by minors in Neuroscience and Psychology from Miami University.
