Josh Hixson

Josh Hixson is an experienced engineering manager specializing in enterprise and product security, currently leading security initiatives at Squarespace since March 2019. Hixson has a proven track record in building and managing security teams, establishing security programs, and enhancing organizations' security postures. Prior experience includes roles as a senior security engineer at Octane Lending, where Hixson was the first security hire and developed an enterprise IT and security program, and at Tumblr, where Hixson led significant security initiatives including network traffic encryption. Additional experience spans roles as a fraud and security engineer at Next Jump, and various internships at Northrop Grumman Corporation. Hixson holds a Bachelor of Science in Logic and Computation from Carnegie Mellon University.
