SR Fine Home Builders is an architect-led luxury residential builder with more than 30 years of experience crafting homes of enduring quality across coastal New England.

Founded in Rhode Island with deep roots in historic renovation, the firm has evolved into a trusted partner for leading architects and design professionals executing complex, design-driven residential projects. SR is known for its ability to translate architectural intent into built reality through disciplined craftsmanship, close collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Established by Jeremy Sherer and now led by CEO Nick Vanasse, SR Fine Home Builders brings craftsmanship and technical fluency to every phase of the construction process. With formal training in engineering and architecture, Vanasse serves as a collaborative bridge between design and execution, supporting architects and clients from early planning through final delivery and long-term property care.

A defining differentiator is SR’s in-house, 5,000-square-foot millwork shop, equipped with state-of-the-art Italian machinery and staffed by master craftsmen with more than a century of combined experience. From custom doors and cabinetry to bespoke architectural details, in-house fabrication allows for exceptional precision, consistency, and control over both quality and schedule—essential for architect-led work at the highest level.

More than contractors, the SR team sees itself as housewrights—equal parts craftsmen and stewards. Guided by high standards, accountability, and integrity, they focus on building trust, building detail, and relationships that endure.
