Steven Smith

Steven Smith has a diverse work experience. Steven currently holds the position of Chief People Officer at SRA Information Technology since September 2022. In 2019, they served as a Foundation Committee Member at the South Australian Migration Museum. Prior to that, Steven was a Board Member at the Arthritis Foundation of South Australia from October 2018 to December 2022. Steven also worked as the Director of Admissions at Prince Alfred College from August 2018 to February 2022, where they managed student recruitment and implemented marketing strategies. Steven has extensive experience in the digital consulting field, having owned their own digital consulting company, United Focus Pty Ltd, since July 1995. Steven also worked as a Director at KPMG Australia from February 2011 to March 2016, specializing in digital government and transformation of government services. Additionally, they served as the Chair of the SA Chapter at the Australian Information Industry Association from November 2016 to August 2018.

Steven Smith completed their education at various institutions. Steven first attended Pulteney Grammar School from 1968 to 1973, where they matriculated in the humanities. Steven then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree at the University of Adelaide from 1974 to 1977, focusing on Classical Studies, Ancient History, and History. After that, they returned to the University of Adelaide from 1977 to 1983 to earn a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree, specializing in the theory and practice of secondary school classroom teaching in the humanities. Additionally, in 1980 to 1982, they obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Instructional Uses of Computers from the University of South Australia, specializing in instructional design, e-learning, technology, and teaching. Lastly, in 2017, they completed the Graduate Company Directors' Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, emphasizing board governance.
