Andrew McLaughlin

Principal System Engineer | UX Team Lead at SRC

Andrew McLaughlin has over 20 years of work experience in the aerospace industry. Andrew started their career in 1998 as a Flight Management System Engineer at Honeywell. Andrew then worked as a Technical Marketing Engineer, Lead Test Engineer, and Lead System Engineer at Honeywell from 2002 to 2008. During this time, they provided technical guidance, conducted research, and led testing efforts for Flight Management Systems. From 2004 to 2008, Andrew served as a Lead System Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, where they focused on developing a Ground-Based Differential GPS Landing System. Andrew was responsible for business and proposal development and technology readiness assessments. From 2008 to 2013, Andrew held various roles at Honeywell, including Information Assurance Project Lead and Project Engineer. Andrew led the implementation of Information Assurance for a UAV program and was involved in product development and qualification for Flight Management Avionics Systems. Since 2013, Andrew has been working at BendixKing as a Principal Project Systems Engineer. Andrew has been leading the development and implementation of new features for a new avionics product line. Andrew has also managed the testing, certification, and go-to-market activities, resulting in over $1 million in sales. In 2019, Andrew joined SRC as a Principal System Engineer and UX Team Lead.

Andrew McLaughlin has a Certification in Interaction Design from UC San Diego, a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of New Mexico, and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Management of Technology from UNM Anderson School of Management. Andrew also holds additional certifications in Design Thinking, Certified SAFe 4 Product Owner/Product Manager, Digital Product Management, and Certified Information System Security Professional.
