Francesca Vidal

Francesca Vidal is an experienced systems engineer specializing in machine learning, currently employed at SRC since February 2019. Francesca's expertise includes algorithm development for robotics applications, with notable projects involving the use of an NVIDIA Jetson TX2 to execute ROS-based visual SLAM and machine learning algorithms for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). Prior to this role, Francesca worked as an electrical engineer at Reckon Point LLC, where contributions included writing Python code for a mobile robot designed for indoor mapping, encompassing database and sensor integration. Francesca holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at San Antonio, along with an Associate of Science in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas Grantham.
