John Dougherty is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in systems engineering and management. Currently serving as Chief Systems Engineer at SRC since January 2001, John has held several key positions, including Senior Principal Systems Engineer, Technical Area Manager, Manager of Business Development, Program Manager, and Senior Systems Engineer. Additionally, John served as Vice Chairman for Onondaga County Water Authority from July 2018 to July 2022 and was County Legislator for Onondaga County from January 2010 to December 2017. Earlier in John’s career, experience included Deputy Chairman of the Town of Clay Planning Board and Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin. John holds an MBA in Business Administration and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University, along with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
