Eric Mooney

Eric Mooney has over twelve years of professional experience in engineering, software development, and operations. Eric began their career in 2008 as a Research Assistant at Georgetown University, where they ran comprehensive analysis on national and international energy data. In 2009, they interned at the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), delivering program support to the US-China Program. In 2010, they joined SRECTrade, Inc. as a Software Engineer, eventually becoming the Director of Operations and Market Manager. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at Lattice Automation, Inc. and in 2017, they became an Embedded Software Engineer at Teradyne. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Xpansiv as an Engineering Manager. At Xpansiv, they are responsible for the largest spot exchange for ESG commodities, including carbon, renewable energy certificates, water and Digital Fuels.

Eric Mooney has a diverse educational background. Eric started their studies in 2006 at Georgetown University, where they obtained a Foreign Service degree in Energy and Environmental Policy in 2010. In 2013, they attended General Assembly to complete a Web Development Immersive course. From 2015 to 2017, they obtained a Master of Engineering (M.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from Boston University. Eric also completed two courses at Universit\u00e9 Paris Sorbonne (Paris IV) and Universit\u00e9 Vincennes-Saint-Denis (Paris VIII) in 2009.
