Wayne Barnett, PhD, is a Principal Structural Geologist at SRK Consulting, where they provide structural consulting to mining and exploration projects and manage the geology resource and structural team in Vancouver. With 20 years of experience in mining and exploration, Wayne has previously served as a Senior Structural Geologist at De Beers and worked extensively on geotechnical engineering and structural models in various mining operations. They hold a PhD in structural geology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, with a specialization in the structural controls on kimberlite emplacement, reflecting their passion for the field. Wayne is also recognized for their expertise in geological modeling and training in various geological and data management processes.
