SRM is an Italian Research Center for Economic Studies related to Intesa Sanpaolo Banking Group and also supported by the Turin based Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation.  Since 2003 we provide to our shareholders and to the business and academic community, detailed analysis on Italian economy within a European and Mediterranean perspective. 

A team of young and highly skilled researchers works in two main departments. One is focused on Italian regional economy and is fit for studying clusters, industries and companies’ internationalization with a special regard to tourism and business economy of the South of Italy; a part of the Country which plays the geo economic role of a bridge between Europe and the South Mediterranean. The second one is our  Maritime and Energy Department highly qualified to study trade dynamics and trends and to analyze maritime transport, ports and logistics and their impact on the overall economic process.

We constantly implement our website where you can find papers, reports, statistics and analysis – both in Italian and English – mainly realized in cooperation with international universities and other research centers.
SRM organizes – together with its shareholders – national and international conferences and seminars and its analysis and mid-term forecasts are frequently quoted in the press and recognized as qualified source by the business community.
