Matt Hooper

Matt Hooper is currently the Business Information Manager at SRM Development. Prior to this, they worked as the Business Development Manager - Commercial Renewables for Duke Energy Corporation from January 2013 to March 2020. In this role, they were responsible for leading all aspects of commercial business expansion by developing and competitively bidding new sites located in multiple transmission markets. This included site selection and location analysis, real estate negotiations, working with public staff for zoning and land use permitting, and testifying in quasi-judicial public hearings. Matt also managed legal counsel to develop documents to meet strategic objectives and goals.

From January 2011 to December 2013, Matt Hooper worked as a Land Acquisition Specialist for THC, Inc.

Throughout their career, Matt Hooper has gained extensive experience in location scouting, site selection, site assessment, construction analysis, and real estate management. Matt is highly skilled in evaluating, acquiring, and assembling properties for large-scale project site development.

MPM from Western Carolina University and BLA from Clemson University in Landscape Architecture. Hooper is an Executive MBA candidate at the University of Oklahoma in Renewables. Matt also has certification from the NC & SC Real Estate Commission in NC / SC Real Estate Licenses (Broker in Charge) and the Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional (PMP).
