Allen Salter

Lieutenant CID / Narcotics at Santa Rosa County Sheriff

Allen Salter serves as a Lieutenant in the Criminal Investigators Division and Narcotics at the Santa Rosa County Sheriff since September 2001, overseeing property crimes and the Criminal Apprehension Team. Salter has held various leadership roles, including Lieutenant in Special Operations for disaster response and K9 units, and has experience as a District Commander and Watch Commander. Prior experience includes serving as a Task Force Officer with the United States Marshals Service and Military Police in the US Army, where responsibilities included team leadership and various tactical roles. Allen Salter holds a Master of Science in Management from the University of Florida, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Troy University, and has completed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Senior Leadership Program. Additionally, Salter is an instructor in active shooter response and emergency medical training, contributing to law enforcement education at the Northwest Florida State College.
