Michael Lawson

Michael Lawson is an accomplished senior leader in international student recruitment, currently serving as the Head of International at SRUC since September 2023, where a new international student recruitment function was established and sales offices were set up in key growth markets including the UAE, Nigeria, Pakistan, and India. Previously, as Business Development Director at Hudson Global Scholars, Michael directed business development across MENA, India, Central Asia, and Europe, transitioning into a consultancy role. As Regional Recruitment Director at Heriot-Watt University, recruitment operations for the Dubai campus and global campuses were managed, while earlier roles at Shorelight and Navitas involved overseeing recruitment and marketing strategies in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and beyond. Michael holds an MSc in International Business and a BA (Hons.) in International Politics from the University of Stirling.
