Dan Edelman is a seasoned metallurgist with extensive experience in the steel industry. Currently serving as a Senior Application Engineer at SSAB since April 2014, responsibilities include collaborating with customers to optimize processes and material selections. Prior experience includes over 14 years at Nucor Corporation, holding various metallurgist positions, including UCS Development Metallurgist, where product design for the CASTRIP process was a focus. Dan also played a key role in the startup of the Decatur, Alabama facility. Earlier professional experience includes roles at American Steel Treating and Norsk Hydro, specializing in heat treating and forging operations, respectively. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy from Michigan Technological University, earned between 1987 and 1993.
