Kris Coates

Kris Coates is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the steel industry, currently serving as Senior Director and Business Unit Leader for Value+ at SSAB since March 2017. In this role, Kris Coates leads economic and market analysis initiatives while overseeing pricing strategies and commercial agreements. Prior experience includes a significant tenure at Cargill from September 1997 to January 2017, where Kris Coates established the Strategic Pricing function and managed various regional commercial operations for hot rolled carbon steel. Kris Coates holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University.
