Sander Steffann began their career in the Internet industry in 1995, co-founding Computel Standby BV while studying at Universiteit Twente, where they earned an MSc in Computer Science. They served as the RIPE Address Policy Working Group co-chair from 2007 to 2018 and are currently an Executive Board Member at RIPE NCC. Sander runs their own consultancy, specializing in internet infrastructure, with a focus on IPv6 and network security, and actively engages in training for IPv6 technologies. They have also held various roles in organizations dedicated to improving and promoting internet standards, including founding the Dutch IPv6 Task Force and the Global NOG Alliance.
